Under the high patronage of his majesty King Mohammed VI, the activities of the 14th International Festival of African Fashion “FIMA” will kick off on Friday, October 7, in the African capital of culture, Rabat.

This festival comes in the context of shedding light on African culture at the level of African fashion and dress in general, and its richness and diversity in all that it contains and is linked to Moroccan culture in particular.

The festival aims to encourage the fashion industry in African countries, as well as activate the arts in the service of sustainable development, by making use of African handicrafts, as proof of “making Africa an industrial centre for fashion, arts and culture.”

In this context, Alfadi, designer and Goodwill Ambassador for African Innovation and Creativity confirmed in a statement to “Baladna 24/eng” that he is proud of the Moroccan culture “and everything that it abounds in terms of fashion, fashion and traditional dress”, adding that he had previously made a collection of clothes in a show Fashion that’s mixing between Moroccan culture and the rest of the African continent.
