At least 16 pupils were killed Friday in Nigeria when their school collapsed as they were finishing exams, an AFP journalist said at the end of the body count in hospitals.
According to authorities in Jos central Nigeria, “some students” were killed in classrooms when the Saint Academy school in Plateau state collapsed. An AFP reporter found five dead in one hospital’s mortuary and eleven in another. They were all wearing school uniforms.
