Former Oyo Motor Park Boss, Auxiliary, Paraded by Police for Murder

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Hamzat Adebola, on Thursday, showcased Lamidi Mukaila, popularly known as Auxiliary, the former Chairman of the Park Management System, during a public parade.

Auxiliary was apprehended at his Olodo residence in Ibadan, the state capital, by the Department of State Services, after months of being declared wanted by the police for his alleged involvement in various cases of armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder.

Addressing the media at the state police command, Commissioner Adebola stated that Auxiliary would be brought before the court to face charges.

He explained, “Through discreet intelligence-led operations, in collaboration with sister services and community policing initiatives, we successfully located and apprehended the former PMS chieftain after an extensive search conducted over several months. Among the items recovered from his possession at his Diamond Hotel residence in Alakia-Isebo Egbeda, under Egbeda Local Government Area, were weapons such as an AK-47 Rifle, pump-action rifles, pistols, cut-to-size guns, cartridges, knives, mobile phones, a laptop, charms, and vehicles, including a Mazda Bus and a Toyota Sienna. Additionally, a significant amount of cash was seized.”

The CP expressed gratitude to the public for providing credible information that assisted in combating crime in the state.

Furthermore, Commissioner Adebola reiterated the commitment of the police command to decisively deal with any individual or group involved in criminal activities aimed at regressing the state into the historical dark ages of lawlessness.
