Inspector General to Inaugurate New Ogun Police Headquarters

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, will visit Ogun State for three days, starting from Tuesday.

During his visit, the IG will unveil the newly constructed Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, along with the Technical Intelligence Unit and the Complaint Commission Unit, all located within the premises of the state police command at Eleweran, Abeokuta.

In addition to this, Egbetokun will also extend courtesy visits to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the paramount rulers of Egba, Ijebu, Remo, and Yewa lands. He will also engage with police operatives in the state and various stakeholders.

SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed these details in a statement released to the press on Saturday.

According to the statement, “The IGP’s official visit to Ogun State is scheduled from Tuesday, April 16th, to April 18th, 2024. The planned activities for each day are outlined as follows: On the first day, he will commence with a courtesy call on the governor, followed by a similar visit to the paramount ruler of Egbaland, the Alake.”
