The British government yesterday evening revealed that it had interrogated the BBC for accusing its broadcaster of paying money to a minor in exchange for sexual images, suspending the host from work.
For its part, the management of the “BBC” stated, in an article, that it “is working as quickly as possible to establish the facts”, and Director General Tim Davie confirmed, in an e-mail to the staff, that “the accused presenter has been suspended”.
Other media reports revealed that Lucy Fraser, the British Minister of Culture, had held urgent talks with Tim Davey, Director General of the Authority, on Sunday to monitor the allegations related to the broadcaster, which she described as “a matter of serious concern”.
Lucy Fraser wrote on her official account on Twitter, “Davey confirmed that the authority is investigating the matter quickly and accurately”.
