Zulu King Misizulu KaZwelithini has been admitted to a hospital, raising suspicions of poisoning, according to Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi. The news comes shortly after the sudden death of the king’s senior Induna, who allegedly fell victim to poisoning. Buthelezi, the traditional Prime Minister to the Zulu monarch, has urged the Zulu nation to offer prayers for King Misizulu’s recovery.

Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi received the distressing information that King Misizulu had fallen ill on Saturday and was subsequently hospitalized in eSwatini. The timing of his hospitalization following the demise of the senior Induna has fueled concerns of a potential poisoning plot targeting the Zulu royal family.

As the traditional Prime Minister and a trusted figure in the Zulu nation, Buthelezi assured the public that King Misizulu is receiving proper medical care and is currently stable. However, the monarch’s suspicions of being poisoned have heightened anxieties regarding the safety and well-being of the Zulu royal household.

Notably, the Zulu king has recently refuted claims of a strained relationship between himself and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, emphasizing the unity and strong bond between them. While investigations into the alleged poisoning incidents unfold, it remains critical for authorities to ensure the safety and security of the Zulu royal family, as well as to identify and hold accountable those responsible for these potentially malicious acts.
