Former US President Donald Trump faced 37 criminal charges for mishandling the secret archives of the White House and keeping secret documents, according to the indictment that he revealed on Friday.

Based on documents released by a federal court, the list of charges includes charges related to the willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, concealment of documents during federal investigations, as well as two separate counts of false statements and other related charges.

These documents, which were found in Trump’s residences, include “information related to defense capabilities and weapons for both the United States and foreign countries, American nuclear programs, potential vulnerabilities for the United States of America and its allies in the event of a military attack, and plans for a possible response to a foreign attack.”

The former US president announced that he had received a notification through his lawyer of charges against him on charges of possession of classified materials and that he had been summoned to appear in court in Miami next Tuesday.
