Officially.. Paris Saint-Germain Announces the Departure of Lionel Messi

French club Paris Saint-Germain confirmed, through a statement published today, Saturday, that the Argentine star, Lionel Messi, will leave at the end of the current season.

And the club said in its statement, “After two seasons in the capital, the adventure between Leo Messi and Paris Saint-Germain ends. The club would like to extend its sincere thanks to the owner of the seven Golden Balls.”

In this regard, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain, said, “I would like to thank Leo Messi for the two seasons he spent in Paris. It was a pleasure to see the best in a player in the world.”

Nasser Al-Khelaifi added, “Winning two consecutive French championships and inspiring our young players. His contribution to Paris Saint-Germain and the French League cannot be underestimated, and we wish Leo and his family all the best for the future.”

The Clermont Foot match, which will take place this evening, at exactly eight o’clock in the evening, will be the last for the Argentine star in the French club shirt.
