Five Moroccan riders are taking part in the 19th edition of the Cameroon International Cycling Tour, scheduled for June 3rd and 11th.

The Moroccan delegation is made up of Achraf Ed-Doghmi, recent winner of the Tour of Benin, and fifth in Africa in the International Cycling Federation ranking, Adel Al-Arabawi, Mohcine Al Kouraji, Salaheddine Marouani and Al-Hussein Al-Sabbahi, supervised by former cycling champion and national trainer Abdel Ati Saadoun.

Moroccan cyclists are looking to achieve positive results during the Tour to pocket the points to ensure qualification for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024.

In addition to the Moroccan national team, teams from Rwanda, Benin, Algeria, and the host country Cameroon participate in the International Tour of Cameroon, which began in 2003, as well as professional and semi-professional teams from the European countries, notably France and the Netherlands.

Participants in the Tour du Cameroun, classified in category 2.2, will travel a total distance of 963.9 km, divided into eight stages, the first of which will take place on June 3rd, connecting the towns of Fakil and Garoua (100.3 km), and the last, on June 11th, between Bafia and the capital, Yaoundé.
