On Monday evening in the Thai capital Bangkok, Morocco took part in the Africa Day celebration ceremony, in the presence of the Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Don Pramudwinai, and the Director General of the South Asia, Middle East, and African Affairs Department at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Worawoot Pongprapapant.

The Moroccan embassy in Bangkok set up a stand displaying Moroccan handicrafts and brochures on the Kingdom’s tourist destinations, which attracted several visitors who were able to discover Morocco’s rich cultural heritage.

On this occasion, Mr. Don Pramudwinai welcomed the excellent relations between Thailand and African countries, affirming that his Department is working to strengthen and diversify the Thailand-Africa partnership.

The event was also attended by leading political figures, business leaders, academic researchers, representatives of Thai civil society, and the media, as well as members of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Bangkok.

In addition, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the African Union, African embassies in Thailand are planning to host cultural and academic activities. Indeed, the Moroccan Embassy in Bangkok, in partnership with the University of Bangkok, will be hosting a seminar on South-South cooperation and Morocco-African relations.
