The Nigerian music sensation, Divine Ikubor, known by his stage name Rema, has entered the Guinness World Book of Records with his hit song, ‘Calm Down’. The song has made history as the first No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart, which is the world’s first regional streaming chart.

Rema’s statistics Twitter account shared the news on Saturday, stating that “Calm Down by #heisrema marks entry on the Guinness Book as it has won the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world’s first regional streaming chart) Record.”

The MENA Chart was launched by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry on November 29, 2022, and ‘Calm Down’ debuted at No. 1, making Rema the first artist to secure the top spot on the world’s first regional streaming chart.

Rema’s groundbreaking accomplishment of securing the first number 1 hit on the first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa has earned him recognition.

The Guinness World Book of Records entry is a testament to Rema’s talent and the global recognition he has received for his music. It is a proud moment for him and the Nigerian music industry as a whole.
