Child of Tiflet

After the Tiflet incident, the Parliamentary Member of the Progress and Socialism Team, Farida Khiniti, asked the Minister of Justice about the procedures and measures that can be taken to protect children from this type of crime that requires strong deterrent and preventive action.

In the written question addressed to the Minister of Justice, Abdel Latif Wehbe, the parliamentarian said that the case of gang rape to which the minor girl was subjected, which resulted in pregnancy, brought to mind facts she described as “similarly painful and bitter.”

Farida Khiniti added in the written question that “Weafrica24” has available, that the manifestations of sexual exploitation of children and children in our country have taken, during recent years, dimensions that she described as “dangerous and unprecedented,” and this phenomenon has exacerbated significantly.

She pointed out that “it is considered one of the abnormal and most heinous crimes that affect the general human feeling, and that these crimes do not erase their effects with time.

the Parliamentary Member drew attention to “the role of the judiciary in protecting the girl and child and the need for national laws to be strict in confronting this phenomenon, not tolerating crimes of sexual abuse against girls and boys, and for the law to be an impenetrable barrier in front of them.”
