According to a press release, the Moroccan sovereign investment fund Ithmar Capital received three certifications on March 15 in Rabat: the ISO 37001 (Version 2016) Anti-Corruption Management System, the ISO 9001 (Version 2015) Quality Management System, and the ISO 45001 (Version 2018) Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

This three-party certification followed an external audit carried out by one of the accredited local firms for the issuance of certifications, whose work concluded that the management system in force at Ithmar was compliant with several types of ISO.

By gaining integrated and structured systems, Ithmar Capital strengthens its compliance, ethics, and deontology efforts. These ISO standards are “among the most stringent and thorough standards,” according to the press release.

Additionally, Ithmar Capital is the first sovereign wealth fund in Africa to be certified by ISO 37001 in relation to the Anti-corruption Management System, underlining that this “affirms its pioneering role in Africa and its global commitment to a sustainable development approach and compliance with requirements and good practices”.
