The World Bank decided to increase its support for education in Morocco, by allocating an additional $200 million, bringing the total value of the project to $700 million.

The Bank aims to implement a more challenging reform with this funding, that supports results monitoring and evaluation.

The bank also emphasized that the reform will allow greater focus on teacher qualifications and education services.

The program to support the education sector in Morocco was launched in October 2019, and the World Bank allocated $500 million for it at that time.
