The Coordinator of the West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS), Mr. Kop’ep Dabugat, held a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday to present the organization’s pre-election mission.

The organization aims to engage critical stakeholders to address emerging and current challenges and threats to the 2023 elections in Nigeria and democracy in the West African region.

At the meeting, he called on the Federal Government and stakeholders to ensure the credibility and smooth conduct of the 2023 elections.

He added that the successful conduct of free, peaceful, credible, and fair elections in the country would be a mark of democracy and a good example to other countries in the West African sub-region.

The official went on to say that if something goes wrong in Nigeria, it will affect the whole of West Africa. That is why he stressed the importance of holding elections without violence, especially after the polls.
