FAR: Main planning meeting for Exercise “African Lion 2023” is held

The Master Planning Meeting for Exercise “African Lion 2023” was held from 9 to 20 January 2023, under the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander, and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

In the presence of representatives of the Royal Armed Forces (RAF) and its American counterparts, this meeting focused on the means of execution of the various activities planned within the framework of the 2023 edition of the exercise “African Lion”, said Monday a statement of the General Staff of the RAF.

This meeting was also an opportunity to proceed with the selection of sites where the activities can be carried out.

These activities include training on operational areas, a planning exercise for staff, and joint land, sea, air, and other maneuvers.

Also, the modalities for the conduct of the joint musical show that will be held on the margins of the operational activities of the exercise “African Lion 23”, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the bilateral cooperation between the FAR and the Utah State National Guard.
