The Chinese Embassy in Angola organized on Wednesday reception to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Angola.
The ceremony was attended by 600 guests from the government, political parties, military forces, Chinese companies, and the Chinese community.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, said the two countries have established fruitful cooperation and exchanges over the past 40 years.
Gong Tao also reviewed the importance of the commercial partnership between the two countries. Indeed, China is Angola’s largest trading partner and an important source of investment. Thus, Angola is China’s second-largest trading partner and its largest supplier of crude oil in Africa, stressing the importance of raising the level of partnership.
Mr. Gong praised Angola’s constructive role in international and regional peace and security issues.
