Cristiano Ronaldo signed from Al-Nassr, Saudi Arabia on December 30. The arrival of the Portuguese legend sheds even more light on the Saudi championship but above all on his new club where several Africans have passed.

Al-Nassr, currently best known for signing Cristiano Ronaldo, is one of the best teams in Saudi Arabia along with Al-Hilal (defending champion). A club in which African players have shone. Cameroonian international Vincent Aboubakar is currently playing there. Before him, other players from the continent have shone there.

Abderrazak Hamdallah (Morocco)

present with Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, Hamedallah left his mark on the history of Al-Nassr. Arrived in 2018 from Qatar, the Moroccan striker distinguished himself in his first year. He had his best season that year with 35 goals and 9 assists in 26 league games.

With this performance, the Atlas Lion allows his club to become champion at the end of the season. He would win the league and Asian Champions League goalscoring titles the following year. Relations between the Moroccan international and Al-Nassr will subsequently deteriorate to the point that the contract which bound them was terminated in November 2021. The Moroccan will sign in another Saudi team: Al-Ittihad.

Noureddine Amrabat (Morocco)

Sofyan Amrabat’s big brother, Nordin spent three seasons at Al-Nassr. The Moroccan winger will play 75 league games for 14 goals and 19 assists. He has 100 appearances for the Saudi club in all competitions (17 goals and 25 assists).

The Atlas Lion is leaving the club in 2021. When he leaves, the club will pay him a strong tribute. “You have entered your name in the list of immortal stars of Al Nassr and shown, with the club, generosity and loyalty”, could we see on a video of Al-Nassr, relayed by Afrik.com. A much better end than that of his compatriot Abderrazak Hamedallah.

Vincent Aboubakar (Cameroon)

Arriving in the summer of 2021, the Cameroonian international has become Al-Nassr’s star striker. Back from the World Cup, the Indomitable Lion offered his club victory against Al Khaleej Saihat (0-1), Saturday, December 31.

Vincent Aboubakar thus scored his 4th goal of the season in 11 games. He has had 12 goals and 5 assists in 24 league games since his arrival. With the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, their duo is on everyone’s lips. However, the two players could miss each other. The Cameroonian striker would be the target of Manchester United who would like to strengthen this winter.
