The Nigerian Army managed to rescue Officer P.P. Johnson who was kidnapped in Abia State by unknown gunmen.
The officer was being tortured by the gunmen who kidnapped her in her hometown, according to a video spread on social media.
The soldier was kidnapped at her home in Ibob when she travelled to celebrate Christmas, stripped naked and handcuffed while she was being held.
Those who kidnapped the soldier pledged, through a video, to kidnap other southern citizens serving in the armed forces, but the woman was rescued and the mastermind of the kidnapping was arrested.
