Bank Al-Maghrib revealed that the dirham fell by 0.10 percent against the euro, and by 0.47 percent against the US dollar during the period between December 15 and December 21, 2022.
Official reserve assets decreased by 0.6 percent from one week to another, reaching 328.4 billion dirhams on December 16, 2022, According to the latest weekly newsletter of Bank Al-Maghrib.
Bank Al Maghrib’s total interventions during the same week amounted to 103.9 billion dirhams, including 56.3 billion dirhams in the form of 7-day advances based on requests for offers.
Furthermore, 22.1 billion dirhams were in the form of long-term repurchases, and 25.5 billion dirhams and Billions of dirhams were in the form of long-term secured loans.
The bank pumped a total of 63.7 billion dirhams in the form of advances for a period of 7 days during the request for offers on December 21.
Moreover, the bank revealed a decline in the “telecommunications” sectors by 4.7 percent, “construction and building materials” by 4.5 percent, and “banks” by 2.9 percent.
On the other hand, the indices of the “real estate employment companies” and “insurance” sectors increased by 1.6 and 0.6 percent, respectively.
