Two civilians and four policemen were killed after being shot by gunmen who attacked a police patrol near a commercial market in northwest Nigeria, according to local Nigerian authorities.
The spokesman for the Sokoto state police Senussi Abu Bakr, revealed that they start a manhunt to find the attackers, Assuring that they will be found and arrested.
Abu Bakr suggested that this attack was in retaliation for the losses incurred by the “bandits” last week when the police shot down militants as they tried to launch an attack on a village in the nearby Silman district.
