The Senegalese parliament witnessed a battle on Thursday, between opposition and loyalist MPs, after a debate about President Macky Sall’s candidacy for a third term, and the matter reached the point where a deputy slapped his colleague.

The Videos about the parliamentary session showed that the discussion about Macky Sall’s candidacy involved a huge fight, as an opposition deputy approached his loyalist colleague and slapped her in her face before she responded by throwing a chair at him.

The circulated video documented how the situation developed into a group quarrel, and chairs, hands and feet were exchanged before deputies intervened to calm the situation.
