Body requesting Moroccan assistance detained in Algeria

Russell Abdelilah Al-kHudari, Secretariat of the Moroccan Center for Human Rights, Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, Moroccan Minister Abroad, on Requests for Repatriation of Moroccan Citizens Detained for Unlawful Stay in Algerian Prisons.

“The Moroccan Center for Human Rights received a request for assistance from the father of Moroccan citizen Ahmed Al dahbi,” the letter said. Born in 1984 in Tynasset, Taza, Morocco. He has been working in a gipsy room in Algiers since 2011, where he was arrested by Algerian authorities and several citizens. He was arrested again on 31 March 2018 on a charge of unauthorized stay, his conviction was overturned and he was released, but he remains detained without trial in difficult conditions in the capital Algiers. ”

Ahmed Al-Dahbi was found to be unusable with his national ID card. Algerian authorities have refused to let him return unless Moroccan authorities take the necessary steps to bring him back. But All efforts have failed.

The Moroccan Center for Human Rights asked the minister to issue instructions to the relevant departments under his supervision to take the necessary steps to ensure that citizens of Ahmed Aldi can return to their home countries and families.
