The administration of an Italian prison, on the outskirts of Florence, found a Moroccan immigrant dead in his cell, amid mysterious circumstances.

According to Italian media, the 41-year-old Moroccan immigrant was found hanged in his cell.

The same sources added that the Moroccan immigrant remains the third victim who died in Italian prisons in less than two months, amid mysterious circumstances, as the “Sollicciano” prison witnessed the death of an immigrant in his twenties last September after the authorities announced that another Moroccan immigrant had ended his life last October.

The Italian authorities opened an examination into the motives and circumstances of the incident, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, The deaths remain a source of suspicion for the families of the victims.
