President of Guinea-Bissau receives King’s envoy

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Morocco residing abroad, Nasser “Bourita”, stressed the importance of Morocco’s strong ties with the State of Guinea-Bissau, following his receipt by the President of the Republic, “Amre Sissoko Embalou”, on Friday, at the Presidential Palace, as envoy by King Mohammed 6.

In a statement following this reception, Nasser Bourita stated that he had conveyed to the Head of State of Guinea-Bissau a letter from King Mohammed VI concerning the strengthening of relations between the two countries, “which are already very strong”, since the King’s visit to the country in 2015.

He praised the successful chairmanship of ECOWAS by Amr Sissoko Embalo, explaining that “thanks to this work Guinea-Bissau is carrying the torch in the ECOWAS region and beyond in many regions, on various regional and international issues”.
