The international insurance company, Allianz, revealed that companies in Morocco will record a rise in bankruptcy by 44 per cent between 2019 and 2023, compared to a growth of 2 per cent on average at the global level during the same time.

The same company stated, in a report, that the low economic growth of less than 1% this year, rising costs of energy and increasing interest rates are the factors that affect the profitability of Moroccan companies and their financial side.

the report showed that about 12,200 Moroccan companies will face bankruptcy next year, compared to 11,800 companies that will face it this year, and compared to about 10,550 companies that faced it last year, and 8,477 companies in 2019.

Allianz recommended public support to avoid the company’s bankruptcy by at least 10 points in 2022 and 2023 for all major European economies.
